I purchased a large quantity of these cartridges as equipment surplus.  This cartridge is an MC cartridge which was discontinued and replaced by the Everpure MC2 EV9612-56.  These cartridges are identical in size and interchangeable, but the MC2 has an added "Micropure II media".
